Trial and error is a permanent condition in the work of Jakob Timpe. His first exhibition in Belgium at The Correspondence project space in Brussels delivers insight to the intricate ways leading to emblematic products like Stand, Elane or Camp.

Since 2006, the Berlin based studio jakob timpe spaces + objects is on a constant research for the ultimate design of things surrounding us. Its development is guided by a meticulous research leading to the roots of the nature of things. As a result of this experimental approach, the studio’s work is defined by continuously producing original, fresh and sometimes unconventional solutions to the purpose things are made for.

Jakob Timpe, born in Würzburg (Germany) has worked for institutions and manufacturers such as Alias, Atelier Alinea, Goethe-Institut, Marset, Nils Holger Moormann, Resol, serien.lighting and GIZ/European Commission. He teaches product design at the University of Applied Sciences Regensburg and founded together with Georg Eisenmenger the design brand vondingen in 2012.

solo exhibition Dorsten Klauke

Eperium und die Sinnlichkeit der Sehnsucht

The first solo show of this established painter in Belgium will present a selection of recent work including part of a serie made on large aluminium plates reclyed from the old water tower of Arnstadt in Thüringen where the artist lives and works.

Due to the great success the exhibition continues. The venue has changed to the Landesvertretung Thüringen where the works can still be seen until the end of this year.
